well, i was hoping to have a new site on the way for Easter but client work has gotten the better of me...so keep your eyes...um, 'peeled'...for a new site soon - well, just keep 'em or else you won't be able to see it, i guess

the artist known as artificer (a.k.a. shanking a.k.a. shannan kingwell) is perennially working on several client projects simultaneously and has virtually no time to spend on self-promotion…though this page is at least an improvement on the last one which merely featured the logo…and was there for *some* time at that

so aside from a voluminous and worrying workload, mounting tax and paperwork nightmares and an attempt to maintain design currency to some degree of skill in both knowledge and application, he is promising to give up over-vocabularising, talking in the third-person, not going for the guinness record in longest sentence and making a decent folio site for once (again), after having had no less than 5 sites over the years in more than a decade of design

a slim chance exists also that finished punctuation may be brought back to the fore – this copy you see here being mostly a revolt against the staid, everyday tedium involved in the minutiae of output such as the dotting of t's and crossing of i's that is the designer's dilemma in intentionally breaking bad with form and function for the sake of art

you may at least preview my clients at left and see some existing work online for the listings which contain links to sites, keeping in mind that i am a designer for print + web generally and that there are many things i have done to date and can do in future if only you ask me nicely
